A brief history of Victoria Surgery

Original draft drawing of proposed Surgery

The Practice was founded by Dr Edward Stock who came to help with an outbreak of small pox in the town in 1912.  He decided to stay and set up his practice on the Cornhill.  A succession of doctors joined him and the expanding practice subsequently moved to Angel Hill and Looms Lane.  Since 1993 the partnership has worked out of its purpose built premises in Victoria Street and continues to expand and provide a first class health service to the people of Bury St Edmunds.
